Privacy Policy

Last updated: August 15, 2026

1. Overview

This Privacy Policy explains what Nova Visuals — the project of Ihor Bezzubenko, an individual based in Kyiv, Ukraine, who is the controller of your data — ("we", "us") collects when you use novavisuals.pro, the Nova Visuals launcher, and the Nova Visuals mod, why we collect it, and what control you have over it.

The short version: we collect the minimum needed to run your account and your license. We do not sell your data, and we do not show you ads.

2. What we collect

  • Account information: your email address, username, Minecraft username, and a hashed password. We never store your password in readable form.
  • Device and license information: a hardware identifier (HWID) and your IP address. We use these to bind your license to your device and to stop account sharing and piracy. We cannot read your files, your other programs, or anything else on your computer.
  • Microsoft sign-in: when you sign in with Microsoft we receive, and store, your Minecraft username and account identifier, your Xbox identifier, and an encrypted Microsoft refresh token. The token lets the launcher start the game under your own account without asking you to sign in again; it is stored encrypted and is deleted when you unlink or delete your account. We never see your Microsoft password.

Product information: your Nova settings, presets, and cosmetics, plus crash and error logs.

  • Purchase records: what you bought, when, and the amount. Card numbers are handled entirely by our payment processors — they never reach our servers.

3. How we use it

  • To give you access to the Service and sync your presets across devices.
  • To verify your license and prevent fraud and piracy.
  • To answer your support emails.
  • To fix bugs and improve the product.

We do not use your data for advertising or profiling, and we do not sell or rent it to anyone.

4. Who we share it with

We share data only with the service providers we need to operate:

  • Payment processors — Stripe and our crypto payment provider — to take payments and issue refunds. They receive what they need for the transaction; card details never reach our servers.
  • Hosting and email providers — to run our servers and send you account emails.

We may also disclose data if we are legally required to, or to protect our rights or the safety of our users. We do not share your data with Minecraft servers you play on.

5. Cookies and third parties on our pages

We use cookies only to keep you signed in and to keep your session secure. We do not use advertising or tracking cookies, and we do not run analytics that profile you.

Two third parties see requests to our site because they sit in front of it or protect it: Cloudflare (delivery and protection from attacks — it processes your IP address and may set its own security cookie) and Google reCAPTCHA on sign-up and password recovery (it checks that you are not a bot and is subject to Google's own privacy policy). Payments are handled by our payment providers on their own pages.

6. How long we keep it

We keep your account data for as long as your account is open. If you delete your account, we remove your personal data within 30 days, except for purchase records we must keep for tax and accounting purposes.

7. Your choices

Wherever you live, you can ask us to:

  • See a copy of the personal data we hold about you.
  • Correct anything that is wrong.
  • Delete your account and your personal data.

Email [email protected] and we will handle your request within 30 days, free of charge. We will never treat you differently for exercising these rights.

8. Security

All traffic to Nova Visuals is encrypted with TLS. Passwords are hashed, our databases are not publicly reachable, and access is limited to the people who need it. No system is perfectly secure, but if a breach ever affects your data we will tell you.

9. Children

Nova Visuals is not directed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect their data. If you believe a child under 13 has given us personal information, email us and we will delete it.

10. Contact

Questions, requests, or concerns about your data: [email protected].
